On this tongue of land you can walk into the midst of the breathing Hudson.
It inhales the salty water from the ocean, and sends back the messages of
many beautiful riverside towns, all founded around the revolutionary war.
Yet, even this pier has an end, reminding us of a lot of things.
Among them, the fact that getting to the other side, though it looks so close, is not that
easy, unless you are a good swimmer, or you have a kayak, or you can walk on the water.
