The Flywheel

The Flywheel has its own legend...
Once it was the heart of a big Paper-Mill Factory where hundreds of new
immigrants found jobs. At that time no one thought that Piermont would be
what it is now: a sophisticated place with a spiritual flair.
The old Factory is gone, but the Flywheel is still standing in the middle of the
Village Plaza. It was so immense that no constructor was able to move it.
Thanks to this, the 'Big-Heart' stayed with us...and sometimes you can hear it
beating under the graze and grace of the winds of the Hudson.
